TRUST me, I'm a doctor

Paul Bint, the UK's King Con, got another jail sentence this week. (Read here) He's pretended to be a barrister, a doctor and even the Director of Public Prosecution. It was mentioned in court that he had been diagnosed with a psychiatric problems. 'Lifestyle' fraudsters like Bint, just live from hand to mouth and don't seem to learn from getting caught. In that sense he's just like Juan Carlos Guzan-Betencourt, John Cronin, Tom McLoughlin and Terry Kirby. They are all gifted at pretending to be someone else, but never made it to class when the teacher was doing the 'criminal mastermind lessons

TERRY Kirby

Serial fraudster Terry Kirby is back in jail until February 2011. The prolific con-artist would usually pretend to be a famous professional jockey to gain people's confidence. One of the escapades he is currently serving time for, saw him walk into a County Galway pub and persuade the barman that he had come to change the price settings on a cigarette vending machine. The staff then helped him load the machine and its valuable stock of cigarettes into the car he'd stolen from a house party the night before. Read more about the life and times of Terry Kirby and the full story here.

SERİAL Fraudster

Terry Kirby featured in The Fraudsters. He has regularly posed as a professional jockey to carry out rip-offs. He has stung all sorts of people, from individuals he met in bars to horse owners who believed him to be a well known jockey. Since his release from jail last year Kirby went back to his old trıcks. He took a jeep from a stable yard in Kildare and then sold off the charity fundraising calendars he found in the back. Sentenced and jailed again he then walked out of an open prison and spent a week on the run. Not surprisingly he is now facing new fraud-related charges.
